Meet Daniel Valentin, a sophomore in varsity baseball, and today we will ask him some questions.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
He says, “I see myself being a professional player in baseball at Florida Gulf Coast University.” He believes he will succeed in his baseball career and go to Florida Gulf Coast University to further his success in baseball and make it to the MLB. He also believes Santaluces will help him achieve this future in many ways.
What made you want to play baseball?
Daniel Valentin says what made him want to play is his dad, which is his biggest inspiration when it comes to baseball, and another one of his biggest idols is Manny Machado because he plays the same position as him and when he looks for someone when he wants to be better at baseball and they have the same playstyle.
What advice do you have for incoming freshmen who want to play high school sports?
Daniel Valentin says that his advice is to focus on yourself, school work, stay organized, and attend different camp activities to stay fit; then you will be good, or, in other words, be a student before you’re an athlete.
