Who let the dog out? This month is National Bullying Prevention Month, but last week, it seemed like Snoop Dogg didn’t get the memo. The 42-year-old rap legend took a strong disliking to Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea’s appearance and wasn’t silent about it.
The “Fancy” singer was spotted makeup-free at LAX and Snoop just couldn’t seem to let it go, posting a picture of a woman with albinism and comparing it to Iggy’s bare-faced look on social media. She then went on Twitter to respond to Snoop’s unkindness in a series of tweets, one reading: “Why would you post such a mean pic on insta?”
Snoop Dogg proved to be relentless. On Tuesday, he continued the feud by posting a meme comparing Azalea to Marlon Wayans’ character in White Chicks and a video where he called Azalea several profanities.
Fortunately, Snoop Dogg had a change of heart the next day, and decided to apologize for his actions after getting a phone call from Azalea’s former mentor, rapper T.I. He posted his apology via an Instagram video, saying: “Boys and girls, I just got off the phone with my boy Tip, the king of Atlanta, and it’s officially over. No more bad talk, I apologize. I apologize. I’m sorry, I won’t do it again.”
Azalea accepted the apology, and wrote on Twitter: “I appreciate the apology @snoopdogg,” and “Let that be that people, time to focus on the positive things I’ve got going on. No time to dwell on the negative.”
She didn’t let any of it break her spirit, because she was spotted fresh-faced again.
