Hey, my loves. Today, I’m coming with yet another upcoming new movie for my horror fans.
On October 15, 2021, Halloween Kills, directed by David Gordon Green, is scheduled to hit theaters, allowing many of us to enjoy that feeling of being in a darkened room full of people who we don’t even know. It creates that sense of fear of having to curl up next to someone or close your eyes right before a jump scare.
However, that’s not all that Green has in store for us.
For many of my loves who have watched the Original Halloween (1978), directed by John Carpenter, you would be happy to know that many from the original 1978 cast will be returning within Green’s upcoming film.
Some of these include actors such as Kyle Richards, who stared in the original as Tommy Doyle’s friend, Lindsey Wallace, who will be reprising her role as another survivor, as well as Nancy Stevens, who played as nurse Marion Chambers, who worked with Dr. Loomis.
Charles Cyphers, who played as Chief of Police, Anthony Michael Hall, who played Tommy Doyle, the child Laurie was babysitting the night of the murders, and Nick Castle, who played the original Micheal Myers in 1978 are all set to return.
This allows many fans to feel excited, yet curious about what’s to come upon this new film.
But, it wouldn’t have been possible if the debuting of 2018’s Halloween hadn’t been put to the test.
2018’s Halloween took place 40 years after the brutal killing spree of Michael Meyers, leaving only one sole survivor: Laurie Strode, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, forcing her to then live in fear from that awful night.
Allowing the film to highlight the insignificant of struggling with PTSD, putting a strain on her and her daughter’s relationship, played by Judy Greer. Preparing for the day to come, Meyers finally escapes from the institution, causing another bloodbath in the making, only to then, in the end, see Laurie, her daughter, and granddaughter, Allyson, played by Andi Matichak. This put an end to his killings by trapping him in Laurie’s burning house.
However, as the movie comes to an end, viewers witness the rescuing of Laurie and her family.
Though, all that changes when firefighters arrive on the scene, not knowing about Michael’s upcoming presence, making room for yet another spree of killings by Michael.
However, when word gets around town that Michael has yet escaped again, 1978’s sole survivors Laurie Strode, Lindsey Wallace, Sheriff Brackett, Marion Chambers, and Tommy Doyle set out to hunt Michael down and put an ending to his murderous acts, all with the help of Laurie’s family and the citizens of Haddonfield.
To which extent will they all be put to a test within this one film? Will Michael be stopped? Or will the citizens of Haddonfield be defeated once again?
