Chiefs Have a Movie Night in the PAC

On Friday, students and staff were invited to a free movie night for getting Santaluces the title of an ‘A’ school.  Originally planned to be projected in the football field, bad weather conditions led to the movie being shown in the PAC. Free popcorn was given to attendees and other concessions were sold.

“I thought it was a great night,” said administrator Mr. Krupa. “It seemed like everybody had a lot of fun. It was too bad that rain came, I think it would’ve been better out there [in the field].”

Approximately 225 people attended the screening of Guardians of the Galaxy. The night went so well, in fact, that it may become an activity during events such as Homecoming week in future years. While the movie was free as long as students had their I.D., any future events may cost money since putting the event together requires hiring a company to set up a projection screen in the football field.

“I want to do it again,” said Mr. Krupa. “It’s something we’ve never done here before.”
