- A terrorist attack in London claimed the life of five people and injured another 40 on Westminster Bridge. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. The assailant was later shot and identified as Khalid Masood.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll guitarist and songwriter Chuck Berry died at 90 years old.
- Canadian Rapper Drake released his “More Life” playlist and sets song streaming records as well as beats his own record for most concurrent charting tracks.
- After debuting his epic thriller “Get Out” and earning a whopping $150 million worldwide director, Jordan Peele will be honored as CinemaCon’s director of the year.
- Julia, a muppet with autism, will join “Sesame Street” in efforts to be more inclusive in children’s television.
