Captains Selena Avilla and Leah Fleurinor throws birthday party for Cross Country/Track Coach Chad.

Coaches do so much for their athletes. From staying after practice or scheduling meets and games, they are always there. Cross Country Captains Selena Avilla and Leah Fleurinor wanted to surprise their coach with a small birthday celebration. They bought a cake and had the rest of their team gather in the locker room to celebrate. Coach Chad will definitely remember this from his athletes.

Hi, my name is Selena. I'm a Senior here at Santaluces, and it's my first year writing for The Tribe. I'm a huge athlete. I've done cross country, basketball, cheerleading, soccer, track, and field. I'm also one of the Cross Country captains at the school. When I'm not at school, I love reading and writing novels as well as photography. My favorite color is blue and I'm a Pisces.  I hope to go to the University of Florida after High School to study Psychology. I can't wait to see our team's wonderful accomplishments this year!
