Although Landon Donovan was snubbed for the USMNT World Cup Roster, he will be playing his final game for the U.S. national team tonight. The 32-year-old who has led the U.S. through 3 World Cups and holds a majority of the records for the U.S.
Recently, his last game was a good one but could’ve gone better. Donovan walked out to a standing crowd cheering on his name and thanking him for everything he has done to positively influence the game and soccer in the US.
The LA Galaxy star will only be saying goodbye to The U.S. Men’s National Team. He will be playing for his club for the rest of the MLS season then calling it quits after 13 years.
Overall, Donovan has had a decorated career with real passion for the game and will be missed all around the soccer community. But his legacy in the sport and out of the sport will always live on.

Although Landon may be retiring, the future is bright for us. We have a 19 year old prodigy named Julian Green that is possibly a world class soccer star in the future!
