This Tuesday, the Lady Chiefs varsity softball team lost against Royal Palm Beach High School but gained some great memories from the senior ceremony before the game. This year, 2024, Olivia Olson and Ashlee Reache graduate, leaving behind high school and their softball team.
On senior night, we celebrated with them by making them goodie baskets and posters celebrating their major accomplishment of finishing high school and wishing them a sad farewell as a team. We presented and announced them on the field, sharing their goals, best memories, and a quote they chose with our team, their family, and friends in the stands.
Unfortunately, Ashlee couldn’t play that night due to an injury at a previous game, but she supported and encouraged all of us, even from the stands. Olson played shortstop and catcher, stealing four bases in total, achieved a walk, took a hit by pitch, and hit one single.
Ultimately, it was an enjoyable game for all, with silly celebrations like the coach’s tutus, graduation merch, and a competitive match with many talented girls. I believe I can say on behalf of The Tribe and the softball team that we wish Ashlee and Olivia a great rest of the season and a bright future in their education!!
