“My sisters are cheerleaders so they get to do a lot of traveling. There was a competition in Texas once, over in Dallas. My mom, my two sisters, and I flew over there together. It was early February and freezing. We get to our hotel room and relax for the night and come the next day snow started to fall. My younger sister, Krystine, woke up to snow out of her window and looked at my mom and said, Mommy, it’s snowing!’ as if she were a two-year-old instead of a twelve-year-old, but still it was positively cute. My other younger sister Kelsey and I had a massive snowball fight, like the ones you’ve probably seen from Spongebob before, until our fingers went numb from the cold. Anyways, I gotta say that’s a pretty good memory I have.”

Nicole Kalpin, Staff Writer
Hello, my name is Nicole Kalpin, I'm a senior, and this is my first year writing for the newspaper. I've attended Santaluces since I was a freshman. Most often I'll be spending my time reading, writing, or talking with my friends. I absolutely love listening to music, my favorite being from the Classic Rock genre. I can be described as a quiet person but I can be anything but when you get to know me. After I graduate, I hope to pursue a career in audiology or education.
