Most people think student government and student council are the same thing, but they are not. Student Government is a class that advocates for the entire student body. They also plan pep rallies, homecoming, spring fling, and other school activities.
SGA also participates in county meetings and district meetings, where all Student government classes around the district and county meet for fun games and a general session to talk about varies subjects.
Student council is an elected group of students that have regular meetings about their class. They make decisions for their class and are in charge of any class activities.
While they are two different groups, most students in SGA are also a part of student council. And both groups are very involved in school activities.

I’m the president of SGA at Asnunctuck Community College in Connecticut and I wanted to know what are some fundraising ideas that you all do at your school?
How do you all make your school great?
Thanks
Claudia
