Sunfest; a South Florida music festival will be coming back to town May 2nd to May 5th. According to Sunfest’s official website, this music and art festival was founded in 1982.
Something really cool about Sunfest is that this is a Palm Beach County only event.
The tickets can be bought through their website. There are three options available. For a one day ticket, the price starts at $47, for a two day ticket, the price starts at $74, and for a four day pass, the price starts at $94. There is also the option of becoming VIP for $125 per day. Children under the age of 5, accompanied by an adult, are let in for free.
The lineup for this year consists of 30 artists. These artists are, Keith Urban, One Republic, G-Eazy, Diplo, Tears for Fears, Earth, Wind & Fire, Rebellion, Don Omar, Papa Roach, Bebe Rex, Lil Dicky, Ludacris, Floggin Molly, Garbage, Stick Figure, Iration, Big Gigantic, The B-52s, MAX, Fortunate Youth, Patrick Droney, Larkin Poe, Manic Focus, Nightly, Magic City Hippies, Hawthorne Heights, Des Rocs, Mayday!, ripmattblack, and Ballyhoo!
Sunfest is not only about music, there is art that is displayed there as well. Many crafters set up stands and sell their art; this includes paintings, jewelry, and many more. There is also interactive installations that people could enjoy.
There is a Sunfest app that is easy to use. The app shows and displays the artists that will be playing, as well as their show time. The app also shows a map of the location. The map also has a pin wherever there is a mobile charging stand, just in case you lose the phone’s battery life filming the can’t miss out performances. Since it is in the heart of downtown, there are various restaurants and shops surrounding the location. There is a place set up that is called the “ChillZone!” Here, there are hammocks that people can enjoy swinging in, and games for the public, such as, giant Jenga and Connect Four.
Of course, it is not Sunfest without the closing Firework show. Each year, there is a firework show on the closing night. During the performance, there is music playing in the background and everything is live on the radio station Wild 95.5
