Santaluces’ AICE Travel and Tourism classes presented their paper 2 projects during lunches this past week. I asked Mrs.Bower, the AICE Travel and Tourism teacher at Santaluces, to explain what the project is. She said, “Students have to plan and manage a travel and tourism-related event. It can be an off-campus event or an expo like what we’re doing.”
Students worked in groups to plan the event, including a business plan, costs, and risks. Then after running the event, they write a paper reflecting on it. “It all ends up going well. The kids have a good reflection afterward, and hopefully, they take some planning skills for the future.”
