It’s been about two years since the Netflix series, “My Life With the Walter Boys” came out and another season finally came out this Thursday, August 28th. I was so excited and had so many expectations for season 2, but I feel like season 2 was so disappointing in some ways. There were some good scenes though. There will be spoilers so if you haven’t watched it and plan on doing so come back to read this after! Here’s my opinion on the new season.

To be honest I was so surprised at how much the characters had changed. I know two years had passed but I was expecting them to at least look a little similar since the difference between the seasons was only supposed to be a summer. Most of the characters looked so different in some ways, they definitely had glow-ups. One of the people who I feel like changed so much, look-wise and personality wise, was Alex. He definitely had a little glow-up. When I saw him I was like woahhh! However, his personality sucked. He was acting like someone he clearly isn’t, and it was genuinely super annoying. I think he was trying to act like who he thinks Cole is. Some of the things he was doing and saying pissed me off so much and made me cringe! Like when they broke up and he said “Time of death” that was the corniest thing anyone could ever say to break up with someone.

I really liked Jackie’s and Parker’s interaction in episode 1, I think Parker needs someone who she can be girly with and do fun girl things, and I hope maybe we can see some of that in season 3. I loved Jackie’s and Cole’s interaction towards the end of the episode 1, and also Kylie and Dylan??? I love them so much and I think they’re really cute together. Episode 2 started off so well with Cole telling Jackie he missed her, I was hoping we would get more scenes of them like this one because I genuinely like them together so much. They have so much chemistry, unlike Alex and Jackie. All they do is kiss and talk about literally nothing; their conversations are so boring. Honestly, I didn’t understand why she wouldn’t just give Cole a chance, however, after the last episode (episode 10). I see why she was scared, but it is still confusing.

I think everyone knows that Jackie would genuinely be so happy with Cole. He is so sweet to Jackie, he is always there for her when she needs him and his actions show that he genuinely cares about her and loves her. Through season 1 and season 2, Cole changes so much, and I think Jackie influences his actions.

However, just like Alex, Will’s attitude has been insufferable just like last season. Once he obsesses over work he becomes so annoying and, honestly, the whole plot of the ranch and the project was so annoying and so not needed. Like, it took up so much screen time when they could’ve been focusing on better things. Erin and Danny are so cute, but I really hate that the producers made them have pointless arguments that were not needed at all. I like them together, though. I think he is perfect for her and treats her well. Nathan cheating on Skylar was also something so pointless. It was so out of character for Nathan to do that, he literally wrote Skylar a song. Also Cole and Danny being twins?!?!?! That was the most surprising thing in the whole season to be honest. Isaac and Lee disappearing for half of the season was so random as well.

I was so disappointed with how episode 7 started. Why do Alex and Jackie just kiss and never actually have a real conversation. I was so disappointed when Jackie told Alex she loved him too because it was clear that she didn’t. She led Alex on the whole season knowing who she actually loves is Cole. Her reasoning is so confusing but understandable at the same time. This season was honestly so disappointing, I had so many expectations. I really thought we would be able to see Jackie and Cole finally tell each other how they feel and get to be together. I also hate that they left the season on a cliffhanger, but I can’t wait for season 3!
