It’s finally December which means Christmas is coming up, it’s the time of the year where you should get cozy and start preparing for Christmas! There’s 24 days left till Christmas so here’s 25 Christmas movies to watch with friends or by yourself while drinking hot coco!
Day 1 & Day 2 : Home Alone 1 and Home Alone 2
- Home Alone 1 is a classic Christmas movie we have been watching since Elementary school. It is about an 8 year old kid that was accidentally left alone at his house for Christmas and has to protect his house from his 2 neighbors using clever traps. There is no way you can watch Home alone 1 and not watch Home alone 2, it’s a must that you watch both!
Day 3: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
- This movie is another classic! It’s about how the Grinch hates Christmas so much so he tries to steal it from the Whos of Whoville, but his heart changes when he meets Cindy Lou.
Day 4: The Royal Treatment
- This is one of my favorite romance Christmas movies. It’s about a hairdresser who was accidentally given the chance to cut the prince’s hair and she is then given the opportunity to do the hair and makeup for the prince’s royal wedding, which was arranged, and neither wanted to marry each other by the way! Spoiler: The hairdresser and the prince end up falling in love!
Day 5,6, and 7: The Princess Switch
- This is one of my favorite Christmas series. It is about a Chicago baker who meets a soon to be princess that is an identical copy of her, they make a plan to switch lives for a day which leads to their lives completely changing.
Day 8 and 9: The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2
- These are literally two of the best Christmas movies! We really enjoy these movies. It’s about two siblings who accidentally see Santa Claus and crash his sleigh on Christmas Eve. They have to help Santa save Christmas so they team up together and help Santa! The second movie is about one of the siblings, Kate, being a teenager and being unhappy about where she is spending Christmas with her mom’s new boyfriend. In this movie, an old elf tries to destroy the North Pole, and Kate and her new brother have to help save it.
Day 10,11, and 12: A Christmas Prince
- This movie series is about a journalist who falls for a prince while secretly investigating him. Amber and Prince Richard end up getting engaged, but they have to plan for their royal wedding while also dealing with a lot of political problems. The third movie is about Amber protecting a royal treaty and her unborn baby.
Day 13: The Knight Before Christmas
- This movie is so cute, it’s definitely also one of my favorites! This movie is about a medieval knight who time travels into modern times and stumbles into a smart modern girl that doesn’t believe in fairy tales, when she meets him she starts to reconsider what she believes in.
Day 14: Meet Me Next Christmas:
- This movie is about a woman named Layla who tries to reconnect with a stranger she met last Christmas at an airport but ends up falling in love with a completely different person she also met at the airport. It’s very chaotic but it’s such a cute movie.
Day 15: Elf
- This is another classic about a human that was raised by elves at the North Pole, he travels to New York to find who his real father is and to spread Christmas cheer, he causes so much chaos along the way but it’s hilarious.
Day 16: Polar Express
- The polar express is another movie we have been watching since elementary school. It’s another classic! It’s about a young boy who boards a magical train with a lot of more people. The train is taking them to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
Day 17: Falling For Christmas
- A wealthy heiress loses her memory because of an accident that happened while she was skiing; she is cared for by a lodge owner. As she gains her conscious back she learns about the joy of Christmas and falls in love.
Day 18: Klaus
- This is an animated story about a selfish postman and a toymaker that forms a friendship by delivering joy to a lonely,dark, and cold town .
Day 19: The Perfect Holiday
- This movie is about a daughter that senses her mothers loneliness and sadness during the holidays so she decides to help her mom in trying to find happiness and love
Day 20: A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish
- This movie is one of the cutest teen romance Christmas movies ever it’s definitely one of our favorite, it’s about an aspiring singer that gets bullied by her stepfamily and like Cinderella she falls in love during a dance
Day 21: Christmas With You
- This movie is about a famous pop star that is tired of everything and runs away to hide in a small town and ends up bonding really well with a teen girl leading to her falling in love with her dad.
Day 22: Let it snow
- A bunch of teens end up stuck in the same small town during a snowstorm and everyone’s love life gets so messy in an adorable way!
Day 23: Holiday Rush
- This movie is about a family that loses everything right before Christmas and how they have to restart from scratch but it ends up being not so bad, which shows how things can happen for a reason and it may end up being a blessing in disguise
Day 24: Rudolph the Rednosed reindeer
- This movie is another classic, it’s about one of Santa’s reindeer, with a glowing nose, who was teased for it but ends up saving Christmas by leading Santa’s sleigh through a storm.
Day 25: The Santa Clause
- A regular dad becomes Santa accidentally after the real one disappears, and he slowly transforms into the new Santa trying to save Christmas!
