With the first college football evaluation period coming to an end, Florida State’s head football coach, Mike Norvell, made the trip to Santaluces last week in style by landing a helicopter on campus. The Florida State Seminoles had a historical season finishing 13-0 and Mike Norvell was on the hunt to find new recruits all over Palm Beach County. Norvell made an appearance at Palm Beach Central, Seminole Ridge, Cardinal Newman, The Benjamin School, and of course here at Santaluces.
Coach Norvell and his defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain landed on campus around lunch time to come and speak to two players on our Chiefs football team. Recently, Florida State offered defensive back, Caden Gordon, and Coach Norvell came to see him on the helicopter.
The unconventional arrival was a fantastic site on campus, and Santaluces welcomed Coach Norvell and Coach Surtain with a proper Florida State greeting. Check out our band and cheer team here:
