Should there be a Season Two for His & Hers?

Warning: This article contains major SPOILERS!

Recently, I watched a new Netflix series called His & Hers, which aired on January 8, 2026. The series has 6 episodes, each about 40–45 minutes long. In my opinion, it is an excellent show to watch.

The show begins with Anna, one of the main characters, returning to the real world after being missing for a year. Anna disappeared after her daughter Charlotte died due to crib death, which is a common cause of death in infants. On the same night Anna returns, a woman named Rachel is murdered. Rachel was a mean girl from Anna’s private school. Anna thought they were friends, which was not really the case. When Anna was 16 years old, Rachel invited 2 men to Anna’s birthday party, where Anna and her friend, Catherine, was assaulted. After Anna returns, she asks her boss for her job back, but her position has already been filled by Lexi. So Anna takes a lower-level job as a field reporter in a small city. While reporting on Rachel’s death, Anna encounters Jack, who is her husband. Their relationship is complicated because they are technically still married, but did not speak during the year Anna went missing. Both have been involved with other people. After a couple days another member of their friend group dies. At this point, I suspected Anna because she was supposed to meet Helen, but Helen suddenly ended up dead, keep in mind that Anna was the one who discovered the body. I also suspected Jack because Jack seemed suspicious because he was the last person to see Rachel alive and it was revealed that he and Rachel had a secret relationship. Anna’s sudden appearances around each death made her seem even more suspicious. Toward the end of the show Anna discovers that Lexi was actually Catherine all along, and Lexi is revealed to be the killer. Anna and Jack then get their happy ending, which I predicted. However, the biggest plot twist comes when Anna’s mother writes her a letter confessing that she was the one who murdered everybody. In the letter  she explains that she found the recording of what happened to Anna at her 16th birthday party and acted out of anger and protection. Personally, I think this was the best plot twist in the entire show.

After watching, I do not think there should be a second season. All of the questions were answered, and Anna and Jack received their happy ending. I feel that creating a second season would ruin the show and take away from the powerful plot twist.
