Hey Lady Chiefs! Is your Quinceanera coming up and you have no idea where to start planning? Here are some tips to help planning your Quince a lot smoother.
- Look for your venue first – This should be the first thing you do. Without your venue there is no Quince, so you should look for it a good couple months in advance. Here’s one I would recommend:
- Start to Look for your dress – Your dress is your statement, it’s what makes you stand out. You want to get your dress first that way you can make alterations if needed, or maybe even change your dress if once you see it you don’t like it.
- Communicate with your parents – Tell them what you want and don’t just let them figure it all out. If you do that it’ll just lead them to get decor and/or food that you didn’t want. It just makes things so much easier on you and your parents if you let them know what you’re aiming for.
- Make an invite list – Don’t just make it open invite. People will bring friends on top of friends and it’ll get chaotic. Invite all the people you want and make sure you keep track of who your friends and family members bring.
- Don’t have a romantic relationship as your main guy in your court – A lot of people will have their boyfriend, talking stage, or “situationship” as their main guy. DON’T DO IT. It’s not to say don’t have faith in your relationship, but if something happens between you guys, you don’t wanna look at your photos months from then and be upset or annoyed that you have to see the persons face again. You can have him in your court, but as your main I don’t recommend it.
- Have consistent dance practices – If practices aren’t consistent your dances can come out looking a complete mess. Make sure you practice at your venue, it’ll help with spotting a lot.
- Book all your appointments in advance – Makeup artists and hair stylists can get busy very quickly, it’s important you book them as soon as you can!
I hope these tips have helped, and remember to not stress and eat a good breakfast the day of. I hope your Quince goes well!
