Everybody knows Valentine’s day is known as the day you show your love to those close to you. People buy gifts, flowers, and do small gestures for others. However, this day is so focused on showing your love that some forget that it’s also important to show you love every other day too.
Valentine’s Day is a very romantic day, and it is lovely to see everyone being treated special, but it’s also disappointing when they only get that one day out of the whole year. Most people also do this under the pressure of seeing other people going all out for their partners, they also may be doing it as competition instead of with genuine intentions to show their love and care. What should matter is showing effort every single day and never doing any less. It is very important to keep your standards high.
Love isn’t just based on how many gifts or flowers you receive, it’s about the small gestures everyday too. The little things can matter so much to a person, especially checking up on them. Love can also be shown by remembering the little things and showing them effort when it’s just the two of you. Patience is also a very important thing. Always be patient and try to understand each other. It can be very meaningful on Valentine’s day but on a random day it can be even more special.
Tell the people you love and care for everyday that you appreciate them. Spend as much time as you can with them. Try to show up for them however you can. Use their love language, it could be through kind words, showing affection, or just spending quality time with them. It is so important to stay consistent and people often forget this. Valentine’s Day shouldn’t be the only day you feel loved. The purest kind of love is when you receive it daily through effort.
