Omicron becomes a threat to the United States, as well as other countries.

After all that we went through during the coronavirus outbreak and quarantine, it just never seems to be over.

Vaccines have become a big debate in the world and everybody knows that. But do they know that the vaccine could possibly protect you from the new variant called Omicron?

Cases have been present in places like South Africa, China, Belgium, The United Kingdom, and many more. Luckily, we’ve only had one case in the US and the person had traveled from South Africa.

The Omicron variant is not as bad as covid and is referred to as a, “very mild case” by many doctors. Although, they have warned everybody that symptoms are more severe in older people.

Symptoms of Omicron include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, a loss of taste or smell, and sore and congested or runny nose.

These symptoms sound very familiar to you, don’t they?

In my opinion, the new variant of covid seems to be like the flu. The flu and Omicron share symptoms like muscle or body aches, fevers, and headaches.

The question still remains on how there is only one case in the United States but over 24 countries have multiple cases. The California resident had gone to South Africa. While there, he attracted the virus and then brought it back to the United States on November 22.

Although President Biden has said that anybody that he had been in contact with has been tested negative for the virus, the California resident did test positive for the virus on November 29th. So, there was a big window of the person getting off the plane in the US on November 22 from the day that he had tested positive for covid.

So can they really be sure of the exact people he had been in contact with the past 7 days?

Although Omicron is becoming a threat to the world, scientists state that because of an unusual combination of mutations, it may enable it to spread faster.

Hopefully, with everything that we already have on our plates, Omicron doesn’t become another threat to our nation
