Everyone, in at least one point of their adolescence, has thought about their future post high school. When you think about your future, the most important thing is finding something that will bring you money along with simultaneously being something you enjoy. When you find it, hold on to it, because without it you may be left living life as if you are on a motor, and the only thing keeping you going is money.
You owe yourself a life of enjoyment, especially after working 18 years of your life towards your diploma. My Psychology teacher, Mr. Gray, spoke with us today and mentioned something that really stuck with me. He stated that, “There is a difference between a job and a career. A Career is something you choose and love doing but a job is when you work and hate what you do and count the hours as they pass by.”
He expressed that in the future, it wouldn’t matter what exactly you did for work, but whether you loved it and actually chose it yourself, because that is the true key to success. I can’t put this into better words. You should live your life how you want to, because at the end of the day, it’s your life. Not only should you live it, but you should love it. As long as it is your choice and something that you want to do, don’t let anyone else’s beliefs affect your choice.
