A Special Win For The Chiefs

After an unanticipated losing season, Chiefs got a very important win in the last home game of the year. On top of winning, it was also Senior Night, which made the win even more special. During the ceremony, about 50 seniors, including members of the marching band, football team and cheerleading squad were honored.

The running game for the Chiefs that night was phenomenal. If it wasn’t for QB’s Mayes and Moise throwing passes, it was the Running Backs driving the offense down to the red zone and scoring 6. This was an especially great game for Butts, who scored three rushing TD’s. This just proved that there is a lot of talent on the Santaluces football team and this year just wasn’t their year.

On Defense, Zach McCloud stole the show, racking up tackles and blowing up offensive plays. This game showed the future stars of next year’s varsity team as the seniors will have their last game at Vero Beach next week. Although this season was a disappointment,  they still ended it on a high note and now the varsity can start the process of rebuilding for next year.
