Miami Dolphins Will Make the Playoffs

Matthew Leto, Sports Editor

The Miami Dolphins are currently 7-5 and are coming off a loss after a 6 game winning streak. The Dolphins defense has come together alongside a great running game with Jay Ajayi. The Dolphins haven’t looked this good since I could remember and first year coach Adam Gase.

The Dolphins have seen great quarterback play under Ryan Tannehill alongside star wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Second year Devante Parker has really splashed in Miami this season, also Kenny Stills has played well.

When the offensive line is healthy, the Dolphins are a scary team. Center Mike Pouncey may be the best center in the league, Brandon Albert the left tackle has also put up pro bowl performances this season. Most surprisingly, rookie Leremy Tunsil has performed well over expectations that were set for him. When these three are healthy, Ajayi is unbelievably good.

The Dolphins defense is finally playing up to par as of recently. Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh are terrorizing opposing quarterbacks with pressure from inside and outside. Kiko Alonzo is a superstar linebacker who is tackling everybody in sight. If the Dolphins can get consistent play from these three players, the Dolphins will have a great defense.

Senior Christian Coppola shed light on the Dolphins playoff chances.

“The Dolphins are on a roll baby,” Coppola said. ” If we can win out the remaining 5 games, they can go far in the postseason.

My Prediction – I predict the Dolphins to win out and finish the season 11-5. The Dolphins will get the 5th or 6th wild card spot.
