A New Year Means a New Schedule

A new year, for some, means having something new in their schedule, coming back from winter break with the fear of having a schedule change, or the excitement of getting rid of an unwanted class.

On the first day of school after winter break, some students were surprised by new classes. There was an announcement made right away, that students who have a hole in his or her schedule should report to the Guidance Cart and make an appointment during lunch. Although this announcement was made, students still walked into guidance and demanded a schedule change.

“No official announcement was made about a schedule change,” said Ms. Robinson, senior counselor. “ If a student didn’t pass a class that they need in order to graduate, then that’s being taken care of as well.”

Maybe now that there are some students taking a class again, they will try harder and pass the class.
