Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Milourie Saintil, a junior here at Santaluces High. Milourie is a hardworking and strong student who is in two academy classes, JROTC and the Medical academy. She shows school spirit, leadership, and strength and I think she is a great student who can inspire many others. To get to know her better, I decided to ask her a few questions.
What subject comes easy to you and which one challenges you?
“A subject that comes easy to me is Career Research because it’s just simple assignments on preparing yourself for future jobs, and one that challenges me is History.”
If you could create your own class what would it be?
“Cosmetology as an academy class because it’s like a form of art, and I love doing my hair and sometimes my makeup.”
What’s something high school taught you about yourself?
“To have integrity, to be self-minded, to be a leader, and to have confidence because people in high school always want to start something, so it’s best to just focus on yourself and your school work.”
If you could give advice to a new student coming here next year, what would you say?
“Be active in school activities, make sure to finish all of your work especially the ones that require a lot to do, join clubs, be active in sports, and be respectful to each and every student and staff member here since you are going to be here basically everyday.”
Who has helped you the most this school year and how?
“Nurse Frank because she is a trusted adult to me and very understanding no matter what the problem is.”
What’s one thing you’re going to miss about this school when you leave?
“I’m going to miss the teachers, the cats, the pep rallies, the sports games, and all of the fun activities.”
