Though Joe Biden has been elected as the next president of the United States, our current president, Donald Trump, has had an extremely tough time grasping his loss. Prior to his loss, Trump has been claiming fraud in America’s voting system. There is no evidence that declares his claims true. However, his false accusations harm the system’s credibility and integrity.
Hilary Clinton called Trump out in 2016 for the exact behavior he is portraying now. “Every time Donald thinks things are not going in his direction, he claims whatever it is, is rigged against him”, said Hilary during the 2016 Presidential Debate. Click here to view the clip.
Trump lost the election, and it seems like he knew it before the election was finalized. He has refused to concede and openly admitted that he doesn’t plan to. The majority of his administration has basically told him to give it up. Yet, he continues to blame his loss on voter fraud. After forcing an investigation, he fired the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Christopher Krebs, when he refuted Trump’s voter fraud claim. Hilary’s statement about Trump’s inability to accept loss is becoming clearer each day.
Recently, Georgia dismissed Trump’s call to overturn the election. Trump has caused an uproar because he has continuously fueled this fire of lies regarding the election. Governor Brian Kemp (R) and Secretary Brad Raffensperger (R) both pledged to abide by the law and therefore, completely rejected Trump’s call because this has been declared the safest election in history.
It’s uncertain as to when Trump will accept his embarrassing defeat against now president-elect, Joe Biden.
