These past several weeks, there has been noticeable progress in the pavilion that’s being built outside the Welcome Center. Many poles have been placed up and it’s giving everyone on campus a vision of what the finished pavilion will look like, which makes it clear that it’s getting closer to completion. In the previous story, we interviewed Mr.Montoya and he told us that it was expected to be completed sometime in November. Although the original planned time has passed, as we are in the beginning of the month of December, it’s still clear that continuous progress is being made. The workers are putting in a lot of hard work to ensure the pavilion is being built safely and efficiently. In our previous story, many students could not tell what was being made. We had them guess what they thought was being built before they even began and now there is a drastic difference in the site. Once the pavilion is completed, it will be of great service for students, staff and visitors by providing shade and shelter from sudden weather changes. We live in Florida and there are always unexpected weather changes from sunny days to rainy days. So, I understand why it’s taking longer than expected to finish the pavilion.

Kelyn Rivera: “I think the pavilion will be done by next week, or most definitely when we come back from break. I can’t wait for it to be done because I think you’ll be helpful for me and the other chief students walking through the Welcome Center when it’s a rainy day.”
Liarra Rameau: “I believe the pavilion will be done by winter break or even by this weekend from all the progress they made this week. I’m extremely excited for the finished outcome because I do walk through the Welcome Center a lot, especially on rainy days.”
