Just recently, Zayn Malik left One Direction. For five amazing years, ‘Directioners’ have heard Malik’s one-of-a-kind high notes. Now, things are slowly crumbling.

One reason for his departure is the stress and attention fame brought upon him. Over the years, One Direction received massive attention from fans all over the world. Even though this is beneficial to the band, there is side effects to it. For Malik, the rumors took a toll on him. Awhile ago, a picture surfaced on Twitter showing Malik holding hands with a girl that was not his finacee, Perrie Edwards. With that, hate and profanity was thrown at Malik increasing his already depressed and angry mood.

”I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards,” said Zayn Malik on Twitter. “And there’s a lot of jealous (expletive) in this world, I’m sorry for what it looks like.”

Not only has this departure taken a toll on fans, it’s effected the other band members as well. For the boys first show performance, Harry Styles began to cry onstage because his best friend was not there to share the first show of their 2015 tour. Even though the fans want Malik to come back, he believes that he made the right choice. Since there was no intention to hurt the fans, Malik says he will lay low for awhile and enjoy the normal life he wants.
