Cardi-B Drama

Right before the performances started, Cardi-B kicked off the show with a weird bit where she swaddled an MTV award in a baby blanket. She then later threw shade at Nicki Minaj’s new album Queen by one up-ing her and calling herself The Empress. It was strange but, it was still one of the more memorable moments of the show.

Fifth Harmony Drama

Hostess Tiffany Haddish roasts Fifth Harmony. After announcing that Camila Cabello was up for five VMAs. She states “So for those of you who are watching at home: Hi Fifth Harmony!” Then, when Nicki Minaj won Best Hip Hop she goes out to defend Fifth Harmony out of respect for Normani Kordei.

Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott Drama

Travis Scott while on stage mentioned that his album Astroworld is number 1. This might seem like gloating with Nicki Minaj’s recent rant about Astroworld.  This remark looks like a jab at Nicki Minaj for her album Queen being beneath Astroworld.
