The Six of Crows duology are books written by Leigh Bardugo. The first book of the duo is Six of Crows and the second is Crooked Kingdom. These books are some of the books that have not left my mind even after I read them.

The books are a part of a universe created by Leigh Bardugo called the Grishverse.

The books follow six characters: Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Wylan, Nina, and Matthias, and switches points of view throughout the book. Each are criminals and the book revolves around this heist, but the question is if they can pull it off. How far will they go to earn the money that is rewarded if they pull it off? Will Dirty Hands himself be able to get him and his crew out of the mess they put themselves in?

These books have everything I look for in a book; it has diversity, romance, LGBTQ+ representation, and so much more.

I always look for books with strong female characters and this book definitely gave me this. Even in the other books Bardugo has written, she gives me these.

Leigh Bardugo is an amazing author who has the power to bring her ideas and characters to life and she did exactly that. She made her characters feel real. The feelings were realistic. Even their thoughts made them so relatable. The found family trope in this book is amazing. The book gives me the vibe of, “I don’t want to admit it, but I love you guys”.

I personally love how the author treats her characters as real people and doesn’t dismiss their trauma or romanticize it as some other books do. Each character and what they have been through plays in their own role.

It shows how it made them who and what they are.

The fandom is amazing as well as the romance in this book. I rated this book 5 stars on GoodReads. These two books won’t disappoint, I promise.

The wraith, a witch, a prisoner, the sharpshooter, a young rich boy, and the “Baster of the Barrell.”

All of them want money for different reasons.
