NBA 2K24 has become a huge hit in the fast-paced world of sports simulation video games. This most recent version was created by Visual Concepts, and released by 2K on September 8, 2023. NBA 2K24 expands on the NBA 2K franchise with new features and gameplay, including animations and movements from real-world court action for a dramatic increase in realism. The platforms that the game is available on include PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows. In just the first three days of it being released on Steam, NBA 2K24 brought in an astounding $4 million in sales according to GameSensor.

For older systems (PS4 and Xbox One), the Kobe Bryant edition retails for $59.99, while for Xbox Series X and PS5, it costs $69.99. The WNBA edition retails for $69.99 and is limited to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Regarding the other bundles, the 25th Anniversary edition cost a staggering $149.99. The Black Mamba edition will also cost you a pretty penny of $99.99. As of right now, 2K has only hinted that NBA 2K25 is “coming soon.” Considering 2K’s past release schedule, it makes sense to assume the game will be released by the end of 2024.

New features added to NBA 2K24:

• • Mamba Moments mode: In Mamba Moments, players can take control of the Black Mamba himself (Kobe Bryant) throughout the course of his legendary NBA career. In other words, it’s a new immersive mode that retells Kobe Bryant’s legendary career.
  • ProPLAY translates real-life footage from actual NBA games into in-game animations.
  • MyCAREER mode: It follows you as you create a MyPLAYER and begin your journey to the NBA by playing in high school, college, or the NBA’s G-League.
