3. Stu Macher
Stu is a classic original character from the first movie who was the accomplice of Billy Loomis. I only feel that he is in the top 3 because he is a literal psycho, and it seems he enjoys these things and doesn’t have a motive. In the movie, he claims his motive to be “peer pressure,” which he says is because he is “sensitive,” but he wouldn’t enjoy doing these things so much, and it takes such a huge amount of convincing to do anything. Killing is not something that people get pressured into and enjoy because you know you enjoy it. He is still a great ghostface because of his craziness and how he managed to hide it, but at the end of the day he’ll be right back.
2. Mickey Altieri
Mickey and Stu are both psychos, but unlike Stu, Mickey is an actual psychopath, which may sound the same but it’s not. Stu is crazy, but Mickey is actually insane, and he wanted to get caught, which is not something you hear a lot in these situations. He was a psychopath from the beginning because he looked for his accomplice on a serial killer website, which meant he was already interested in murder. He wanted to get caught, but his motive was different, and it was so he was able to blame the movies, but in reality he wanted to stir up controversy and be famous for the murders. We should know his crimes were “OH SO VULGAR!”
1. Roman Bridger
Roman is the best ghostface, not based on looks or how I feel about the character but ultimately about his intelligence and his motive. He has the most realistic and best motive that makes him more relatable, and he goes about his journey in the smartest way. Roman is actually the half brother of Sidney, whom he hates because their mother abandoned Roman while staying in Sidney’s life even though Sidney didn’t know. This was his revenge for being rejected and abandoned and left without a mother figure for his whole life. He knows he could have possibly had the life she has, and she hates her for it and wants to strip her of that privilege. Once he knew about his mother, he motivated Billy to do the killing, so he started this empire, and this is a great example of his intelligence. We had to know because he was “Roman Bridger, director, and brother.”
