The movie is about this super popular K-Pop girl group who are secretly demon hunters. I like how the movie shows how they balance out their lives; one minute they are performing on stage, and the next they are battling hideous demons. The main character (Rumi) really stood out to us. It turns out that she was born half-demon, and she struggles with that part of herself. In the end, however, she learns to accept herself just how she is. Towards the beginning of the movie, a mysterious rival boy group who were secretly demons appear, and that made the storyline better because it turned their battle of the bands into more than just a music competition. The movie kept the energy high with all of the performances, battles, and emotional moments blending together. It made the whole thing really exciting to watch.

During this first movie, we saw the connection between Jinu (the leader of the boy band) and Rumi slowly grow into something that could possibly be considered “love.” Since their first interactions, it was pretty clear that they could be a cute couple. Even the fans in the movie were shipping them. If there is a part two of KPop Demon Hunters, I hope that we can see Juni and Rumi finding their way back to each other. They did so much for each other and were willing to help each other free themselves from their burdens. The part where Juni gave Rumi his soul especially stood out to me; there’s no way that they don’t end up together! I honestly hope that we can see the plot of part 2 being Jinu and Rumi finding each other.
