The story talks about Poppy and Alex, two very different people, who become best friends and take a vacation together every year. Over time, their friendship turns into something deeper, but things get complicated because of misunderstandings, bad timing and unspoken feelings. The movie focuses on love, friendship, and how people grow overtime. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie! I loved it so much, even though it felt kind of short. The chemistry between the characters was strong and emotional. You could really feel how Poppy and Alex cared about each other, even when they were trying to pretend they didn’t. One of my favorite parts was when they went on a vacation where they pretended to be married just for fun and ended up getting free stuff. That scene showed how playful and comfortable they were with each other, and it made their friendship feel real, which was so cute!

However, as someone who read the book, I was a little disappointed that the movie left out some important parts. In the book, we get more deep into the characters personal life. The book takes its time building their relationship, showing movements that made their bond feel real. In the movie,  some of these moments felt rushed or were completely left out, which made the story feel shorter than it should have been. I feel like it should have been made into a series, instead of a movie, and each episode can be Poppy and Alex getting closer to each other.

Another thing I noticed is that the movie didn’t fully explore some of the conflicts from the book. In the novel, the tension between them feels stronger because we understand their fears and struggles better. The movie showed these issues, but they didn’t go as deep as the book did. I wish they had included more scenes to explain why they had such a hard time being honest with each other.

Even with these issues, I still really enjoyed the movie. It made me smile and feel emotional, and it reminded me why the book is so loved. Seeing the story come to life was so exciting, I was counting down the days until it came out. It had amazing casting since the actors did a good job portraying the characters. Their dynamic felt natural and true to the story, even if some details were missing.

In conclusion, People We Meet On Vacation is a sweet and enjoyable romantic movie. While it was shorter than expected and left out parts from the book, it still captured the heart of the story. I loved it a lot, and I think it’s a great movie for anyone who enjoys romance and emotional love stories.
