In this year’s 2016 Spring and Summer collections, we have head-turning designs by fashion icons like Vera Wang, Oscar De La Renta, and Alexander Wang. All of these designs have something in common, as they share the interest in the colors black, red and white.

Although this year’s fashion had its similarities, each outfit was unique in its own way. For example, Alexander Wang incorporated the gothic look into his style this year. Betsy Johnson, as always, had beautifully bright colors in her style, and Vera Wang’s clothing was very minimalistic.

Diversity was also a big part of this New York fashion week. Just like the designers, many new faces appeared on the runways. Cardi B, who is known for her outgoing personality on Instagram and Twitter, walked down the New York runway. Fashion designer Becca McCharen featured multiple plus-size models in her collection, and many were pleased to see this. Australian model Madeline Stuart, who just so happens to have Down syndrome, opened for the Hendrik Vermeulen show.

Many more amazing models, designers, and articles of clothing were featured in New York fashion week. This year was definitely one to remember for a long time.
