My father is from Colombia and a trip was long overdue. However, instead of visiting family my parents decided to become tourists for four days in my dad’s home country. My family and I stayed at el Laguito, which is a section of Cartagena that only consists of hotels for tourists to stay in. During the day, an uncle of mine became our tour guide and lead us around to local restaurants, shopping malls, beaches, and the classic tourist places to visit. We walked and rode around Cartagena from 8am to 8pm in the hot sun. The result being plenty of colorful pictures and an experience I’ll never forget.
