The Criminal Justice Academy hosted their quarterly car wash this past Saturday, this time the event was held as a fundraiser for the Autism Speaks Foundation in which all the proceeds went directly to the foundation.

In the past, the academy has used the car wash to fundraise for all sorts of different organizations and causes, including:

• American Cancer Society
• Wounded Warriors of South Florida
• Angles In Action

And now most recently the Autism Speaks Foundation. With 35 academy volunteers present to rinse, wash, dry and support, the event was certainly a success.

Tickets were sold at only $5 and the event ended up drawing the service of over 75 cars, many of which came from just driving by and seeing the cause.
