The Santaluces Chiefs getting ready to dominate on the field.

Tonight, the Chiefs will once again take the field in a huge rivalry game against the Boynton Beach Tigers. This is always a game that brings out the whole city to watch. Bets are placed and this game is always very hyped up all across social media. This year though, the stakes are even higher! The winner of this game will win a trophy sponsored by Longhorn Steakhouse! The Chiefs are coming off a great upset win against Pahokee High School in a blowout score of 38-14.

Offensively, the Chiefs unleashed AnaTay Smith once again who helped lead the Chiefs offense to a high-scoring night taking two touchdowns. Defensively, the Chiefs did a great job containing 4-star receiver, Hardley Gilmore, who committed to the University of Kentucky hours before kickoff. Junior Defensive Back, Caden Gordon ,was the guy for the Chiefs defense who was matched up with Gilmore and he held him to a very quiet night with only 3 catches, 38 yards, and no scores.  Shutting down a high-powered Pahokee offense was definitely a momentum booster for the Chiefs.  They will have another tall task in stopping the high-powered and effective Boynton Beach offense that has top running back Bobby Smith.

Last year, the Chiefs won the matchup with a score of 22-7.  The Chief’s defense held the Boynton Beach offense to a small total of 137 yards of total offense, according to Maxpreps. The Chiefs look forward to continuing this level of dominance and to showcase their athletes in a huge rivalry game against the cross-town rival Boynton Beach.  Expect a fast, physical, hard-fought-48-minute ball game full of action and big plays from both sides!

Here are my score predictions for the game tonight:

Santaluces 28, Boynton 14

Santaluces 38, Boynton 21

Santaluces 26, Boytnon 13
