Chiefs Party on Prom Night

Teachers and students dressed to impress on the Class of 2016’s “Yesterday and Tomorrow” prom night.

Lava lamps along with a graffiti, 80’s wall backdrop for group photos added to the throwback feel of the night while the neon colored tables and chairs gave off a futuristic vibe.

Chiefs danced the night away on the disco dance floor while on the sidelines, food including coconut shrimp, empanadas and various cheeses were provided.

Towards the end of the night, the title of Prom King went to senior Jahsia Cooper, and senior Kaycee Hair was awarded the title of Prom Queen.

As per prom tradition, the dance ended at about midnight and students went their separate ways, either to after-parties, dinners, or to get out of their formal attire and relax for the rest of the night.

“It was a cool experience,” said senior Bryanna Soenarie. “And I would love to relive it again.”
