Chiefs Make Waves of Kindness

On Wednesday, February 24th Santaluces staff and students held a “Waves of Kindness” anti-bullying month event. This was also National Pink Shirt Day, in which supporters wore pink shirts to bring awareness during anti-bullying month.
The issue of bullying is one that is very serious and discussed nationally. To spread the practice of kindness and anti-bullying awareness, Anti-Bullying Month Checklists were given to all students.
The checklist included particular acts of kindness such as holding the door for someone and giving someone a genuine compliment. Anyone wearing a pink shirt or who has been checked off for an act of kindness by an administrator was able to throw to try to dunk Mr. Ramos during all three lunches on Wednesday.
