The student Government is pairing with Best Buddies to host a Winter Snowball this Friday, the 13th. It will take place from 10:45 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. during the school day. This dance is intended to give our ESE students an enjoyable experience while allowing them to branch out and make new friends. School programs across the county were invited to partake in this wonderful event. Some of the schools joining us include Park Vista, Royal Palm, and Palm Beach Central.

This is not the first; Santaluces previously hosted annual Winter dances for the program which were sadly held off due to the coronavirus. Excited to be back, together the student government and Best Buddies are working to make this the best one yet.

For weeks, SGA members have been working on decorations intended to transform the gym into a magical winter ball. From snowflakes to Santa cone hats, SGA members have been working to make the day as festive as possible. Dana Ulysse, SGA President, expressed, “My Freshman year, I got to be a part of the dance and it was so special. We are so excited to finally be able to bring it back and create even more amazing memories.¨

Games, activities, and food are all meant to take place during the dance. A snowball toss game has been organized by Best Buddies to play. SGA members will also attend and help assist in these games while other members have arranged an area for building gingerbread houses and will help assist there. The dance is then meant to wrap up with a fun game of freeze dance, leaving everyone in a cheerful, fulfilled spirit after a day full of fun.
