Who knew that teachers could dab?

Santaluces held its 16th annual Rally to Graduate today. The teachers put on an end of the year rally to encourage students to do well on upcoming exams.

Coach Polanco and Mr. Kalina hosted the event with over eight performances. The Jazz Combo played improv while students came to their seats, and then Mr. Krupa introduced the show.

Performances by the math, guidance, science, english, and social studies departments caused uproars of laughs and cheers as teachers danced and sang. Some teachers showed off their skills, such as Mr. Angione surprising everyone with his breakdancing.

Famous songs such as “I Can’t Feel My Face When I’m With You” were made in to original covers promoting students to study for their tests. As usual, the infamous CCS Step Team was led by principal Ms. Robinson. They stepped to Beyonce’s new hit “Formation.”

“The dancing was really surprising, especially the science teachers,” said Freshman TJ Mason. “My favorite part was the ‘Star Wars: The EOC Strikes Back’ video. It was all really well thought out.”

For the first time, the show ended as teachers gave tribute to graduating Seniors with a video and performance in their honor. A slideshow of Senior pictures played in the background as Ms. Latham, Ms. Searing, Mrs. Schroader, and a surprising solo by Mr. Ramos danced to “Bet You Can’t Do It Like Me.”
