“One day I went to school like any other day. In my 6th period, I asked the teacher to use the restroom. On the way to the bathroom, I had a conversation with my girlfriend. During the conversation she was saying something that got me sad and upset. Afterwards, I went to the bathroom and thought about our relationship. I felt overwhelmed because it was a lot to take in, so I decided that I was going to break up with her. On my way back to class I felt empty; I was grieving so bad. I came across a friend in the hallway and explained everything that happened. When I got back to class I realized that things just aren’t meant to be.”

Hey! My name is Alicia and I am a 17-year-old Junior. This is my first year in journalism and I love it. I enjoy listening to Pop music; one of my favorite artists is The Weeknd. I also like watching beauty, vlogs, and DIY YouTube videos. Every summer I volunteer at summer camps as an assistant counselor for 4-6 year olds. I plan on going to FAU to study education and become an elementary school teacher.
