“I started sound engineering, I believe, when I was in seventh grade. I started with the little stuff, like mixing and editing music. Once I entered ninth grade, my friend Michelle Murray told me about the class we have here. She said it was an excellent program and she said I should join because I had an interest in it. I joined the class in my sophomore year and I had the best time of my entire life. We used a program called ‘Reason’ by Propellerhead and it’s one of the easiest programs to use. You can make your own mix tapes. When I did originally start, I started on my own and then I started in school because my teacher was talking to me about it. She told me that there would be high schools and colleges that have a program like that and I’ve been looking forward to it since.”

Hey there, I'm Gillian and I'm a senior here at Santaluces. This is my first year writing for the newspaper. Writing has always been a passion of mine and I'm planning to pursue Journalism as my college major. I'm a part of the tech support team as well, considering I do quite well with computers. I play a forward position on the soccer team too! I'm a very optimistic person, and that is what most people use to describe me. Enjoy my stories!
