“For my 18th birthday, my family and I spent a weekend in Disney. We stayed at the All-Star Movie Resort, which had a big pool with a sorcerer Mickey statue that shot out water. On Saturday, we went to Downtown Disney for half of the day, and the rest of the day we spent at the hotel. We watched Tinkerbell and the Legend of the NeverBeast at night by the pool, then we played ping-pong, and finally we played games in the arcade. Playing ping-pong in the cold was really fun, especially since we didn’t know what we were doing. On Sunday, we went to Epcot. My favorite country there was France, and I got to eat macarons. I’m hoping that one day I will get the chance to go to the real Paris, France.”

My name is Karen Garcia and I am a senior. I enjoy writing short stories and crying over amazing movies, especially A Walk to Remember. I am a big fan of reading, my favorite book is The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. In my spare time, I can be found walking my two Shih Tzus and watching reruns of The 100 on Netflix. My current goal is to major in journalism and to one day publish my own book.
