“One day I was in my car with my mom and my brother on the way to Sarasota. My mom was speeding as we were reaching the end of the bridge. At the end of this bridge there was an intersection. When we reached the intersection we saw a lady speeding while eating a burger. She sped in front of our car and we swerved out the way. The lady then hit a tree. The whole right side of the car was wrecked. There was glass everywhere. We went outside to check on her and to see if she was okay. Luckily, she was not harmed. That moment in my life was very scary.”

Hey! My name is Alicia and I am a 17-year-old Junior. This is my first year in journalism and I love it. I enjoy listening to Pop music; one of my favorite artists is The Weeknd. I also like watching beauty, vlogs, and DIY YouTube videos. Every summer I volunteer at summer camps as an assistant counselor for 4-6 year olds. I plan on going to FAU to study education and become an elementary school teacher.
