The Chiefs came into Monday night looking for their first victory after a 0-6 record to start the season. Atlantic came into the game 3-2 and were looking to get back on track this season. The Chiefs battled all night, but came up short 34-18.
In the first quarter, Atlantic got off to a hot start going up 14-0. But the Chiefs were able to score a touchdown via senior Marquise Jackson.
The Chiefs trailed the Eagles 14-6 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Chiefs were able to slow down the Eagle’s high powered offense. The Chiefs capitalized on a drive, scoring a rushing touchdown from junior Keonne Bradley in the second quarter.
The Chiefs trailed the Eagles at halftime 21-12.
Coming out of halftime, the Eagles were able to score a touchdown to start the second half. The Chiefs trailed 28-12, but responded with a touchdown by Marquise Jackson, making the score 28-18. The Chiefs trailed the Eagles 28-18 as time expired in the third quarter.
The Chiefs however could not capitalize on a few drives at the end of the game and the Eagles were able to score a touchdown in the fourth quarter. As time expired, the game ended 34-18.
