Over the weekend our Varsity Wrestling team hosted a tournament here in Chief country. There was a great turnout. We had David Andrade and Antuan Brooks taking 3rd place, while Juan Castillo and Heily Selgado were in second place. Those who didn’t place also did a great job. Wrestling is no easy sport. They came out and showed what they got. There’s no doubt in my mind that as the season continues they will continue to surprise us and make Sanatluces proud.

Overall Santaluces placed 12th place as a team with 81.5 points. Santaluces and the rest of the schools had great sportsmanship. They showed perseverance and hard work all throughout the tournament. Wrestling is a sport that should not be taken lightly. These students train hard and it surely shows at their tournaments. The season just started but they are here to win. I definitely recommend coming to at least one of their tournaments this season, you definitely won’t regret it. Also a huge shoutout to their wonderful sponsor, E J Schrader Mattress Company for supporting them.
