Jalisha Rowen is a proud senior here at Santaluces High School, who’s also my best friend. She’s a part of the JROTC academy and a proud member of The Tribe. She mostly enjoys interacting with the teachers and being apart of the Santaluces community.

What has been your favorite year since you have been attending our school?

“My junior year was my favorite  due to the amazing teachers that I was able to meet and interact with before the  2022-2023 school year came to an end.”

What are you most excited for during your senior year?

“I’m very excited about the military ball and graduation.”

What do you plan on doing after senior year ends?

“I want to take a gap year then go to college to become an English teacher or art teacher, and in the meantime . . . I want to practice doing tattoos.”

What is the best part of being in JROTC?

“My favorite part of being in JROTC is the instructors.”

What are your favorite things to do in your free time?

“I like to draw, sleep, eat, and dance.”

What are your hobbies?

“My hobbies are drawing and doing hair.”

What’s your favorite subject?

“ It used to be math, but English has become my favorite because I like to write.”

Are you involved in anything here at Santaluces?

”I’m involved with The Tribe.”

What college do you plan on attending?

” I want to attend Palm Beach State College, then I want to go to FAMU.”

How do you feel about your classes this year?

”My classes this year are easy due to wishing to take a small break during my senior year. I took many AICE classes last year and wanted to allow myself to take a small break.”

Do you have any advice for any of the underclassmen?

“Do your work, it’s really not that hard.”
