The Boys Weightlifting team consists of 12 lifters. In their first meet, the team was told to go light and lift lighter weights for their openers. Meets are located at Park Vista, with multiple schools from the county attending these meets, such as John I. Leonard and West Boca. To be placed in districts and go to regionals, lifters needs to be in the top 6 of their weight class. There are usually around 10 to 12 lifters in a weight class.

Santaluces had 4 lifters place in the top 6 of their weight class, however since this is the first meet it does not  count. The meet that counts is the district meet, and all lifters must attend 4 meets to participate in the district meet. The top 6 in the district meet attend regionals. As of right now, 4 lifters are on track to attend regionals.
