Duke and Wisconsin played the NCAA Division 1 Mens Basketball Title game. The game was at 9:00 PM Monday night. These two basketball powerhouses had come a long way to get to this game with no favorite; it was a true tossup and it lived to that.

Before this game, both teams played in their final four games. Duke ran away against Michigan state by a margin of 20. While Wisconsin upset undisputed No.1 ranked John Calipari’s Kentucky.

In the first half, the game went back and fourth. With each team not being able to capitalize on mistakes the other team made. Frank Kaminsky, the 2015 Naismith Award winner could not be stopped in the paint in the 1st half. Duke had trouble containing The Badgers in the first half. Duke adjusted really quickly, legendary Coach K adjusted the playing style of the team. Duke was ready for the second half.

In the second half, both teams came out hungry to win. Wisconsin had the upper-hand in the beginning of the second half. Stretching their lead to as high as nine. In the last 10 minutes, Duke improved their style of play. Getting the Blue Devil’s the lead in the game. Wisconsin did not look like Wisconsin in the last five minutes, turning over the ball multiple times. Duke capitalized on their turnovers and increased the margin between the two teams to five.

The final buzzer went off and Duke players stormed the court. They greeted Coach K with many hugs and cut the net after a dream come true for Coach K’s Blue devils. Wisconsin had many opportunities to take the lead and come back, but they were blown by poor play in the last two minutes. Thus, capping off the dream season for Duke and the Cameron Crazies.

Final Score: Duke: 68 Wisconsin: 63
